For me, Stephen King has the ability to make even a 1074 page book into a fast, addictive, page-turner, and Under the Dome was no exception (I read it for the first time over a weekend - yep, in two days). WebIt is not the best ending, but it kind of makes sense. The entire point of the dome is that it was all pointless. The fact that the dome was an alien toy/tv was supposed to be kind of insulting for the characters in the story. What makes it worse was the fact that the aliens left the toy/tv on and did not even believe the characters were real.
