First, the speaker is a Weber 10-inch Signature 10A-S instead of the usual 8 inch. Since this circuit sounds so good when it is overdriven, I wanted a speaker with a little more oomph to it. The traditional Champ 8" was a 5 ohm, but there's a whole world of 8"/8 ohm speakers out there. Since you're building a head, you can use either one, or have two jacks, or add an impedance selector switch somewhere.

I've never met a Tweed that didn't sound good turned down. I'm assuming of course that you're not looking for low volume distortion.

My favorite mod for a blackface/silverface type circuit because it makes it so much more versatile, especially for amps that don't have a Middle control.

I have not been able to find the what they went for when in production, I'm thinking the dealer is confusing it with the 15 watt version. Looking for help here Fred
